The food delivery app Uber Eats now accepts Apple Pay. Starting today, Apple users can complete food orders on the app using FaceID or TouchID.

Uber started accepting Apple Pay on its ride-sharing app in 2014, but the service was not available for the food delivery version. Other payment options for Uber and Uber Eats include PayPal, Venmo, credit cards and debit cards.

Last week, Uber launched some enhanced features for the Eats app. These include real-time delivery tracking, updated delay statuses, and the ability to contact the driver before they pickup an order. The new services are available in 16 cities across the United States.

Regarding the app updates, Uber said, “In the coming months, we’ll be introducing more ways for you to get help and more delicious delivery options.”

A little more than a year ago, Uber unveiled a cash back debit card that gives drivers 3% cash back at Exxon and Mobil gas stations. The card also offers such perks as 10% back at Advance Auto Parts, 2% back at Walmart and 15% off select services at Jiffy Lube.

Uber’s leading competitor, Lyft, also plans to release a rewards debit card for drivers. The Lyft debit card will offer 4% cash back at restaurants, 2% back for fuel, and 1% back for groceries. Lyft says they want to be able to increase driver pay rates without increasing their ride fares. This debit card would help them to achieve that goal.
